Session Experiences begin at $200, securing your date and time, private studio access, and use of the curated wardrobe for mothers and babies.
Clients are invited to a private image reveal to select their favorite portraits and design heirloom artwork such as albums, wall art, or digital collections.

Newborn Photography Expectations

Once you're ready to book a session, please reach out to me. We'll go over all the details regarding what you hope to achieve during your session. Topics we'll cover include the type of session you prefer, the location, and your wardrobe choices. For family outfits, I recommend neutral or natural complementing colors. Solid neutral tones work best, as we want to avoid any distracting patterns. Dads should wear a neatly pressed button-down dress shirt. Family photos typically focus on the waist up, highlighting the baby, while moms can select a gown from my client closet for a distinctive portrait.
I request that babies are fed two hours before the session then immediately upon your arrival to the studio. This will keep baby settled during the session.

Newborn photography is very hands-on, so you must be comfortable with me handling your little one a lot during the session. Although the goal is to create breathtaking photos of your new addition, the safety of your baby is my TOP priority! I may ask parents to assist with spotting to ensure baby is always safe and never left unattended.
Once you arrive to the studio and get settled, we will begin your session. The room will be warmed to 72 degrees or more and a sound machine will be playing to keep baby calm and comfortable. Expect to feed the baby at least once during your session. Sleepy babies pose the best! I swaddle the baby first to get them comfortable and settled. We will start the session with family photos and then props and posed setups.
For lifestyle sessions in your home, I ask that you turn up the heat so that your home is nice and warm for baby. My rule of thumb is if you are feeling a little toasty, baby will be nice and comfy. Please prepare the nursery and other areas prior to my arrival so you get the most out of your session time.

I reserve a limited number of sessions each month to ensure that every client gets my personal attention. To secure your preferred session time, please reach out to me as soon as possible. I typically schedule your session between 7 to 21 days from your due date, allowing for adjustments if you deliver a bit early or later than expected. Additionally, I have experience photographing newborns who are between 4 to 6 weeks old.

Simple is best. I photograph newborns wearing nothing at all, with outfits, and wrapped. I recommend the rest of the family wear clothing that coordinates without matching exactly. Neutral/natural and soft colors best match my style and client closet selections. Avoid distracting patterns, chose solid color clothing.

Absolutely! I know just how important it is for Mom to feel beautiful again after growing a whole human for 9 months, so I have a variety of gorgeous, flowy dresses for you to choose from to wear for your session.

All props are provided for posed newborn sessions, but please let me know if you have any personal or sentimental items you would like to incorporate.

About a week following your session, you will receive an online gallery featuring lightly edited, watermarked images. All fully edited final digital images will be delivered once you have chosen images for your printed products.
Your finalized gallery will be provided approximately two weeks after you select your favorites.
