The general rule is that newborns should be photographed when they are approximately 8-15 days old. However, I have photographed newborns up to 1 month old. I have an extensive selection of wraps, headbands, hats, outfits and props that are designed just for newborns. I have gowns for moms that can be used for maternity/post baby to create a unique portrait image. If you are wearing your own outfit, I suggest that you look for a natural flowing dress or a solid color in black, navy, white, cream. Family images are captured in a close position. The goal is to limit space between you and keep the focus on your faces and the baby, not your outfits. Therefore, try to avoid suits and tight-fitting clothing that may inhibit comfort for you.
All collections includes parents and older children. Grandparents are welcome.
Ask about a lifestyle session in your home.
I suggest that Mom’s have their hair/makeup done professionally. I can recommend stylists who will travel to your home or in my studio.

NEWBORN STUDIO GUIDELINES
Only scheduled family members are allowed in the studio during the session.
Bring a pacifier as it will help settle the baby and keep the session going in the right direction.
Bring extra everything- diapers, formula, wipes, water, etc.
Bring snacks, water, favorite toys/books for children/toddlers.
Baby should be fed as often as necessary during the session.
A successful session depends on how the baby is feeling sleepy, awake, fussy.
When you arrive, I will walk you through how the session will flow.
We will review the setups, colors, outfits, props.
Mask at your discretion. I am vaccinated for Covid 19.
Studio has a bathroom for your convenience.
Studio is cleaned before and after each session.
YOU SHOULD KNOW
FOR SIBLINGS: For boy or girl siblings, we suggest a similar color top or dress that fits well, simple jeans rolled up, and no shoes. Please wash, iron, and try on any outfits you or your other children will wear.
Your baby will be swaddled for the props and family portion of the session. We have snacks/water and comfortable couches/blankets. One parent will always be by my side with your newborn for an extra set of eyes and hands for safety purposes.
Newborn sessions are scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays. Inquire for other time slots.
You will receive your edited digital images via an online gallery 4 weeks after your session date.
